It has been my vision for so long to finally see a hospital somewhere giving free treatment for people. With the prices that are around here about healthcare, it is nearly impossible for someone of the lower class to be able to afford treatment for their kids. I have seen many cases in my country where people try to raise donations for sick kids or teens and most of the time they might be successful. I mean, no one should let to die if there is a cure out there and specialized staff.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been created in 1962 by Danny Thomas and ever since then it has been giving free service to the kids that need treatment. This initiative has gone so far now and all thanks to the people that donate to the hospital. Recently a $2,000,000 donation has been made to the hospital by Darius Rucker, the famous singer, and creator of the music group Hootie & the Blowfish. The first time that Darius saw the hospital was 10 years ago and ever since then he has been raising funds to donate.

He achieved a $2,000,000 milestone recently, which is huge for the hospital. Darius set a record when he managed to raise more than $400,000 in just one concert. It is truly amazing how people donate for the benefit of the community. It is even greater that someone can take their kid to the hospital and receive the proper treatment for free.
